Dr Karolina May-Chu is assistant professor of German at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM). Her research focuses on German-Polish literary and cultural relations. In her teaching, she looks at German-language literature and culture of the 20th and 21st centuries, especially with regard to questions of migration borders. In 2024 she published her first monograph "Border Poetics in German and Polish Literature: Cosmopolitan Imaginations since 1989".
