The Bachelor of Arts degree is a six-semester degree course with two subjects and Optional Studies.
The MA degree course "History and Culture of the Baltic Sea Region" is designed for students who want to specialise in the culturally and historically complex Baltic Sea region. It consists of interdisciplinary seminars and lectures that train students for various fields of activity, e.g. cultural exchange or working for companies and NGOs in the Baltic Sea region. The degree course focuses on the humanities, especially on history, cultural studies, literature and linguistics.
The Master of Arts degree course requires students to have successfully completed a bachelor's degree. The master's degree can be specialised or interdisciplinary and usually lasts two years.
The teacher-training degree courses for Gymnasium (secondary school up to year 12) and for Regionale Schule (secondary school up to year 10) comprise two major subjects and lead to the 1st State Examination.
